Comprehensive Home Audit-

Our Building Specialists will meet with the customer to discuss energy, health and comfort concerns. The Building Specialist will analyze the utility bills to get a better understanding of seasonal and base load usage.  With our diagnostic equipment we will check heating and cooling systems for safety and efficiency. Use the blower door to evaluate building air infiltration and room pressures. Perform infrared camera inspection to identify air leakage, missing insulation, moisture concerns and overloaded electric circuits.

After the audit the Building Specialist will then compile all data collected and model the building in our software. Within a week the Building Specialist will send an extensive home performance report that will describe the homes performance, air leakage, energy usage and infrared camera photos showing concerns that were found. Most importantly this report will provide solutions to the homeowner and the most cost effective approach to lowering energy usage.

HERS rating (Builders/Contractors/Brokers)- Contact us for pricing

A HERS (Home Energy Rating System) rating is a score taken from the HERS index. A rating involves the analysis of a home’s construction plans and onsite inspections. Based on the plans, we, as a certified HERS rater, use an energy efficiency software package to perform and energy analysis of the homes design. The HERS rating will produce a number between 1 and 150. The closer to zero the home is, the less the energy that it uses. The rater will then work with the builder to identify energy efficient improvements so the home will meet Energy Star guidelines via the HERS index.

The HERS rating is a recognized tool to in the mortgage industry. It is used to qualify for energy efficient mortgages, meet building codes and qualify for Energy Star incentives (New Construction). Additionally, mortgage brokers and real estate professionals are using the HERS score as a measurement of energy efficiency.
